Emma Raducanu reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments major tournaments in the current campaign.

Britain's Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from her remaining competitions of the year due to a health issue she has been fighting over the past 10 days.

Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in events in Asia but chose to travel back to regain her health before starting her preparations for 2026.

Her upcoming training are set to feature trainer Francisco Roig, as they will keep partnering again next season.

She had her blood pressure taken during her first-round match versus Ann Li in Wuhan last week and retired when losing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

She again required a doctor's assessment at the recent Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the first round.

She was also playing with clear difficulty in the deciding set in the match with Zhu due to a lower back issue that has been a concern during parts of the season.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the top 30 globally after more than three years since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

Raducanu had three match points prior to falling to Jessica Pegula in the third round in the Beijing tournament last month.

She secured twenty-eight matches in the current season and advanced to the semis in the Washington tournament, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami Open in March.

The British number one advanced to the quarters of the WTA 1000 event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro en route then falling in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She worked with Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The original arrangement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was for the remainder of the year but they will keep working together, with planned training sessions in the coming months.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

She came very close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati in August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three before being beaten by 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
